Kissing Camel Estates – Colorado Springs

kissingcamel 01

Nestled high on a ridge overlooking the Garden of the Gods National Landmark, this Mediterranean style Home has views of Pikes Peak to the West and the City of Colorado Springs to the East. The design retains the warmth and passionate character of its origins, while maintaining a spirit of elegance expressed by deep eaves, well - scaled masses, smooth stucco, and rough stone exterior. At the core of the plan, the grand stairs are an overpowering and captivating feature in the house. The open living and dining rooms mix an elegant formal scale with a sense of the outdoors. The house is designed to capture the view of The Garden of the Gods from almost every room. This home not just provides shelter but helps create excitement and delight, harmony, and peace all at once.

The smaller Upper Level has a wide overlook to the Great Room below with 2 bedrooms and a separate entertainment area with additional wet bar.

{ Remodels and Additions }

South Grant Street – Denver

This Denver Square “Pop-Top” located in the Platt Park Neighborhood is on a smaller lot with a portion of the house too close to the property line to allow changes to the North and South Exterior Walls and Roof. The Design was to save the Gable Ends, remove a smaller dormer fronting the street and adding a Second Floor while maintaining the Bulk Plane as required by City Code. The result is a beautiful addition with Standing Seam
Metal Roof, New Kitchen, and cotemporary Master Bedroom and Bath on the Upper Level.

The owners of this home needed to have a larger Dining Room adjacent the Kitchen. The
split entry rear stair at the back of the house was moved into a new three level addition with access to the existing basement, a new entertainment room, and a Master Suite on the Upper Level. The open tread wood stair with wrought iron railing and hardwood top opens up the site lines from the Dining / Kitchen area into the new covered patio. The subbasement below the new addition has a storage room with mechanical and a small
separate wine cellar.

South Clarkson Street

This project is located just west of Washington Park in Denver, Colorado and includes a remodel and addition at the rear of the house for a new Master Suite and Master Bath on the Main Floor, and an Entertainment / Family Room area on the Lower Level. The
new Brick Veneer matches the existing to make the new addition look as though it was
part of the original house.
