The design retains the warmth and passionate character of it's origins, while maintaining a spirit of elegance expressed by deep eaves, well-scaled masses, smooth stucco and rough stone exterior. At the core of the plan, the grand stairs are an overpowering and captivating feature in the house. The open living and dining rooms mix an elegant formal scale with a sense of outdoors. The house is designed to capture the view of Garden of the Gods from almost every room. This home not just provides shelter but helps create excitement and delight, harmony and peace all at once.

Priester Residence

This house is designed for a client from Atlanta, Georgia who is retiring and relocating to Colorado to be closer to family. The client wanted a Craftsman style home based on their existing floor plan of their home in Georgia. The stone & Stucco exterior blend effortlessly to the steep sloping Site w/ walk-out Basement. The Kitchen has a spacious island that joins a sunny Breakfast Room. The Great Room offers a cozy space for gatherings with a warming fireplace, and TV & Art niche. The basement is designed with "recreation" in mind. It houses a games room, bar and home theater, and large storage room.

Walker Residence

Located in the gated “High Forest Ranch” community, this single family residence is situated in a forest of Pine and Aspen trees on a 2.5 acre lot. The Design is Colorado Rustic with Craftsman Detailing inside and out. The client used a private wholesale company and purchased all of the cabinetry, plumbing and lighting fixtures, and most of the lumber and wood trim throughout. The Site required Well Water and Septic Systems

South Cook Residence

Denver, Colorado

Cost: $900K; Area: 4,000 s.f. + fin. basement New Residential Custom

Role: Design Architect Interior / Exterior

Designed for active lifestyles, this contemporary home is designed for homeowners who enjoy dinner guests, a large fully equipped kitchen, privacy, luxurious surroundings and open spaces. The asymmetrical massing of the structure with a curved roof in the horizontal and vertical plane, highlight the front entry. The tall entry spaces with punched openings create a play of light and shadow in the living rooms. A bridge spans across the 2nd level and hides the living space from the front entry, which increases ones curiosity to explore the house further. The exterior colors and materials were chosen to complement the forms.

Razo Residence

Boulder, Colorado

This house is designed for a repeat client who builds Self Storage Facilities through the metro area. This home is located in the upscale White Hawk Ranch Subdivision in un-incorporated Boulder County. It is one of the last homes to be built  in White Hawk Ranch and boasts an excellent view of the Flatirons Mountain Range west of the City of Boulder. The home has wide eaves, a dark rich color scheme, and large timber posts, beams, and exposed trusses on the exterior of the house. It has a Grand Circular Stairway just inside the front entry and an Upper Level Master Suite that has a covered deck over the bridge of the lower Porte Cochere.

Cost: 1.5mil; Area: 7,500 s.f. – New Custom Home

Role: Design Architect Interior / Exterior

Located in the upscale Monaco / D.T.C. neighborhood, this “Prairie Style” home sits on a large lot with exceptional views of the mountains to the west. Stringent Design Guidelines forced a shallow Roof pitch accentuating the genre including extra wide roof overhang. Contemporary detailing including a Stainless Steel Truss above the front entry and an oversized stainless steel front door adds to the modern eclectic. The Lower Level includes a full service Home Office, a large Entertainment area with Bar and open Home Theater. The Main Level has two Master Suites, a 2 story Great Room with custom water feature above a two sided indoor / outdoor fireplace. The smaller upper level has a wide overlook to the Great Room below, 2 bedrooms, and a smaller entertainment area and additional wet bar.
